GooseChase is an interactive mobile app that turns the Museum into an adventure zone through scavenger‑hunt‑style missions. Players use their smartphone or tablet to complete challenges, submit photos or videos, solve puzzles, track progress on a live leaderboard, and explore their surroundings in fun, creative ways.
Just download the free app, enter your adventure code, and let the chase begin!
A team and the GooseChase app!
Teams should be 2-6 people each and one mobile device with the GooseChase app is required per team.
Adventures run through the GooseChase mobile app, which is free on both iOS and Android. You’ll receive a game code after booking. iOS 14.0+ or Android 9.0+ are required.
I don’t have a device that can run it, can I still play?
Don’t have a compatible device? Contact our Booking Coordinator to see how we can help.
Some areas may have limited service; we recommend fully charging your device before arrival.
Are these adventures guided or self-guided?
All adventures are self-guided and designed to be played independently using your device. A Museum team member will greet you, get you set up, and introduce the mystery! They will be available throughout your experience for questions or hints. At the end of your experience, you will meet with your guide once again to wrap-up your adventure.
Most adventures take 45–90 minutes, depending on the storyline and your team’s pace.
Can I play more than one adventure a day?
Absolutely, time and ticket availability permitting. Each adventure must be booked separately.
Email museum@pickering.ca or call 905-683-8401 to start booking. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive instructions and your GooseChase game code.
Adventures require pre-booking, but same-day bookings may be available depending on capacity.
Is there a cancellation or refund policy?
Yes, cancellation details follow Pickering Museum Village’s standard ticketing policy.
Do the adventures run in all weather?
Most adventures run rain or shine. Severe weather may result in rescheduling.
Are the adventures accessible?
Many missions take place outdoors on village paths, some of which are uneven. Contact the museum team to discuss accessibility needs.
Adventures involve walking outdoors. Comfortable footwear and weather‑appropriate clothing are recommended.
